Luftwaffe fighter pilot cap that my grandfather somehow got as a kid right around the end of WW2. My brother also has a Mauser rifle that was left behind in my great grandma's house after the Wehrmacht soldier staying there ran off (when the Russians were coming).

I have an old Ka-Bar knife that belonged to my Great Grandfather.

Probably the oldest thing that has much meaning to me.

I was given a crisp $2 bill when I was born, if we're talking about earliest given. Oldest item is some busted old wristwatch that belonged to a great-grandmother.

I stole white sand from White Sands, and rocks from the Petrified Forrest. Yeah yeah, jerk move, but at the time I wanted my money's worth. Otherwise, everything starts at my birth. Poor people dont pass on heirlooms.

I used to have a 20 oz. bottle full of sand from White Sands, but since lost it. I did feel bad at first for taking it, but then realized that the same people telling me not to take the sand also constantly blow it up and even turned some of it to trinitite in 1945, so they aren't exactly role models of stewardship...

I have the axe that George Washington chopped down the cherry tree with. I still use it. Of course, I had to change the handle a couple times. And the head once.

My Mosin Nagant 91/30 is my oldest possession. Receiver stamp says 1942 but the magazine is stamped with a different manufacturer that stopped making rifles at the end of WW1 IIRC so that would mean that part was made anywhere from 1891-1918.

I've got some radios, tubes, various mil electronics that are at least twice my age.

Also a few old gold and silver coins, pocket watch, lighters, shit like this.

A Leedy snare drum and bass drum, a Slingerland Radio King snare both from the 40's. I had the whole Leedy set but the toms were stolen . The Radio King is in the best shape and most valuable, but the Leedy is my pride & joy. The Old family pictures. Some old coins. Concert t-shirts from the late 70's - 80's.

I got some of my grandfathers old tools when he passed away. My uncles and Grandma have the rest of them. My cousin and aunt inherited some of his glass working/cutting tools for stained glass as they have taken up the hobby. He had some vintage glass cutters from the 1800s.

No one gets this thread.

Let me re-word the request: What is the item you have owned the longest?

I have a bunch of random toys and crap from when I was a kid... as everyone else does.

Coins from the mid 1800s from a coin collection I inherited. I'll also inherit an extensive baseball card collection circa 1950s and 60s. I could get a bit of money for both of them but I do not plan to ever sell either.

The item that has continually been in my possession the longest is this cup:

Hf9ub.jpg

It has been my pencil/pen cup on my desk since I got it in 1991-92, the NJ Devils' 10th anniversary season. Last year I got it autographed by Martin Brodeur; he played 4 games for the Devils in 1991-92.

Probably my old punk records. I keep carting them around even though I have not owned a record player in many years.

I'm extremely unsentimental, so I don't really keep a lot of useless crap around.

Totem Pole I carved in 1968 when I was 11. It overlooks my computer and keeps it running.

Here it is with my old computer:

I still have the first album I ever bought when I was 8 years old. Queen, The Game.

I still have my first rifle which is a Ruger .22 which my grandfather bought for me when I was 5 years old.
