Of course older workers are also more likely to get sick and drive up the companies insurance premiums with their viagra prescriptions, forget where they are, complain about working past 4 P.M.,get all depressed because all their friends/family are dying off, and continue doing things the way they've always been done instead of innovate.

I don't believe any of the above paragraph, but I felt if we were going to speak our biases about younger people then older folks should get their fair share.

FUUUuuck. No viagra for older people on the other people's dime. I won't allow it! If they suck at getting hard, its their own god damn fault.

LOL. Here you are bitching about other people's dime and in the next forum over, you're posting tell people how to use 'creative financing' to not pay back their student loans. Hypocrite.

For the record, I don't think Viagra should be covered by insurance and that people should pay back their debt (from other thread).

Let me add...

"How does it feel to have a comfortable life at the expense of the generations that come after you?"

I feel great but I earned it. I'm not old enough for SS or Medicare. I worked full time for 35 years taking no more than 2 weeks off at any given time. I saved and invested my money. I could retire now after being layed off but I don't want to. I see younger generations spending their money on big houses, expensive cars, big screen TVs, multiple video games for the kids, iphones, etc. and not saving it. They are going to be in big trouble when they want to retire.

While you may be OK, it's not just the younger generation that is blowing the money. It's all of them....

From here....

* < 35: $6,306
* 35 – 44: $22,460
* 45 – 54: $43,797
* 55 – 64: $69,127
* 65 – 75: $56,212
* 75+: (sample size insufficient)

Looks to me like every generation sucks at saving money for retirement (either that or they just can't afford to in general which may be the case considering stagnant wages in the US for a decade + ).

The baby boomer generation is the cause of every major problem the world suffers from today, but somehow it's all the younger generations' fault. (Which is truly remarkable considering the younger generations still do not have significant representation in real positions of power.)

It's all convenient memory lapses and shrugging off personal responsibility. Every generation does it and will continue to do it. You'd think as a race we'd learn.

WOW, really. So every major world problem is the fault of US baby boomers. Do you actually have any facts to back that one up? You do realize older pre-BB politicians and later Gen X/Yers have been involved in bad decisions also, right?

Generally accepted birth dates from Wiki:

Pre Baby Boomer - ???? to 1946
Baby Boomer - 1946 to 1964
Generation X - 1961 to 1981
Generation Y - mid-1970s to the early 2000s

Since insurance is usually to cover "prescription" drugs, making Viagra available without a prescription would fix this problem.
