Older PSU and GTX 260

I am a little confused. I tried to find the answers within the forum before posting but I couldn't seem to find what I was looking for. I was under the impression that the GTX 260 recommends a PSU with 36A 12v rail. To find your total Amperage for your 12v rail you add each one correct? If that is the case, my PSU has 3 12v lines @ 18A. Does that mean I meet the requirements?

No you can't add them up usually. Some PSUs will have a area that combines the 12V rails and tells how many watts they are capable of combined. Other times there will be wording underneath the chart that says something to the effects of "the total of the 12V combined shall not exceed such and such watts or such and such amps"

If it gives you the value in watts, divide by 12 to get Amps. If yours is like the current Neopowe 550W then it is capable of 42A combined...so yes you should still be fine.
