So, Mum had an Android, maybe 4.4 Kitkat, maybe 5.0 Marshmello or 6.0, I forget. It was an older android. Kept spontaneously rebooting on her, battery was shot.
I bought her a new phone, transferred the SIM card today, got it up and running. Android 7.0.
Know what she said? After trying to use it to call the local pharmacy, "I'm gonna SMASH this thing, and get a landline! I can't figure this out!".
Good for her. I don't care, she paid me for the phone already.
I didn't think Android 7.0 was all THAT different than older versions.
Her old phone was a Samsung, new one is a Blu. UI might be a tad different.
Old people have trouble adapting, even to simple things.
Weird, though, that when I got her a laptop with Windows 10 a few years back, she took to it like it was nothing.
I told her to look up "Android 7 guide" on the internet, and that would tell her how to use her phone.
Edit: Do you need to be a "Computer Genius" to use Android? Has it gotten too complicated for the "ordinary man (or woman, in this case)?"
