I have an HP Touchsmart IQ810 That I bought in 2009, and brought with me from the UK to the USA a few years ago. I upgraded Vista to Windows 7. IN the past few months it has started to randomly freeze, like everything freezes - cursor, screen, keys, even the sound if something is playing. The only remedy is to hold down the power key and turn it off.
I've taken the computer back to factory settings and reinstalled Win 7. I've updated the drivers to the best of my ability, and tried to keep programs on it to a minimum, but it still freezes. Some days it will do it once, other days it will do it over and over.
Any thoughts on where to start in finding the cause of such a freeze?
Thank you in advance!
