Older games that will work on my low spec HTPC?

Motherboard: ASRock H77M
CPU: Intel G530 CPU 2.40ghz
RAM: Kingston 8GB
No GPU.

I haven't had time to test out the system and figure out what runs good or bad on this machine, but for kicks I tried Mirrors Edge - but even on the lowest graphic settings it was choppy. That said, I really don't want to install 5x+ more games to figure out what games will work well with it. I'm looking for some good "couch" games. I've got a wireless gamepad + wireless keyboard and the new Steam http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFrL6-OhN94 "Big Picture" coming out today might be kind of awesome to go along with it.

Thoughts?

I recently had this problem. I'm stuck with the IGP until my vid card arrives from kickstarted.

Jade Empire works fine. xbox1 era games in general.

Not familiar with that hardware, but have you considered a $30 cheapo PCI express card? The rest of that setup looks like it is plenty for lower end games.

EDIT:

I have an 8800gt 512mb that would probably put you up there. Plays Diablo 3 fairly decently. But depends on the PSU and if your mobo can handle at least pcie 1.0. You'd also need a 400w + psu.

I guess it depends what type of games you want to play. Couch games doesn't say anything. My friend plays BF3 from his couch.

Most Source titles would probably work if you turn them down, it's not a very demanding engine. Most 2d games are probably doable; I'd highly recommend Cave Story and Bastion; N is a great time killing platform puzzler too.

Tossing in a cheapo card would probably do wonders for you though. I put a GT240 in my HTPC and have been pretty pleased with it and you can probably do much better than that by now.

I tried TF2 on this IGP and it was playable...

even the new deus ex was almost playable (more than 10fps lol)
I think you can also play Skyrim in low with it...

Torchlight would probably work, as would most of the indy games on Steam.
Any of the classics should work, as someone else said, go to GOG.com and have a ball.
