Please don't laugh...
I am a new member to this forum with a new problem.I am using an HPE-510y, and I play WoW and HAVE been for a number of years now, and purchased the HPE-510y back in 2011, but just a few days ago my computer has simply... shut down while in the middle of a Raid. No BSOD, no warning, it just shut down as if I had a power loss! I immediately unplugged the power cord from the rear of my computer, waited about 5 minutes, and plugged it back in. It booted right up, showing the "shut down unexpectedly/F10 screen", in which case I rebooted from the SAFEBOOT screen with NO problems, just to check things out. I then restarted in Regular more with NO issues. This has happened # TIMES this week, but has has NEVER happened before! However, I checked my temps with SpeedFan, MSI Afterburner, and PCWizard and everything was in "specs", I guess. But after reading some posts on this and other forums, the AMD Phenom II X6 1055t chip that came with my comp has somewhat of a heat "threshold" stating that this chip should NEVER get over about 62 celcius at load. My GPU (nVidia GeoForce GTX 550ti should top out at nothing over 75 celcius at load. I know very little about this, but I cleaned all of my fans (CPU, GPU, and 2 exhaust fans), and have noticed a slight decrease in temps. My question is... since my GPU, CPU and Exhaust fans/coolers are all STOCK, should I look into changing/upgrading my CPU's Cooler/Heatsink at the very least? i was thinking about getting the Corsair H-60. I have seen other choices that will work for my AM3 chipset, but may not fit in my case. Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated!!
