Just wondering how many members remember the UBB and/or pre UBB days of Anandtech?

I just fried an old hard drive that had some HTML files on it from the "Semi Olden Days". The Butter thread, some GUTB posts, H8Tank posts, Magnus Kain posts, Nowhere Man whining about some BS, etc, and it got me thinkin about way back when.

Who else here is considered Anandtech Elderly, besides the hoodlum crew? (Red Dawn, etc)
 
I'm not a UBB member, but I'm still senior to a lot of people here, and I remember some of the things you mentioned.
 
I didn't post as much in the UBB days but I remember back before we even had a UBB off-topic. I guess I am an old-timer.
 
Here right around the geo change. Didnt post hardly at all.I remember all of those ding dongs you speak of. Especially GUTB and Magnus. Wasnt a guy named Modus hanging around here. I remember his long winded posts and the trail of napalm that used to light up his posts. I'm pretty sure it was here. Ahhh, the good ol days.

I don't recall specifics about the board, but I do remember NWM and H8Tank. I've been around for a while, but had a 1 year lapse between when I first joined and now.

I remember those days. Dennilfloss used to post all the time saying how he'd get visited by aliens, and GUTB would say "Let's keep it real..."
 
I've been around for a reeeeeeal long time, though I've always been pretty quiet. I've been around since the early UBB days, though. I remember all that stuff you referred to, Monel. There's so much history in this place... if only the proverbial walls could talk.... 😉
 
I think I joined right after that.
I still remembered the unannounced front page change.

Happened 2000? or so.
One moment it was the all blue layout.. Then all of a sudden a white layout?
I thought the crack I had went bad 🙂
 
I was there for those, but I didn't post much. I don't remember what my username was thene......I think it might have just been johnm or something 😀
 
I've been here for awhile. I remember the UBB boards.

However, I was primarily, though not exclusively, at AGN. Then that shut down and I emigrated here.
 
I was here before the Hot Deals forum or the off-topic forum so it's been awhile.

The celeron 300A overclocking time was classic.

I love Anand's now. The troll killin' is very cool here 😀
