Hello all.....

It's that time again....we have been challenged to a new race with DSL Team Starfire...Help us with all those NETWORKED PC's....it's easy, fun and useful too....Great to test the network out 😉

The last race was a great growing experience for both teams but was ended just short of completion because of the sad day of September 11th.

Since then though, team DSL Starfire has outgrown and outproduced us considerably.....now it's our turn!!! :Q:Q:Q

A new race has started and we need your support.....all it takes is a few extra cpu cycles...just a few. The clients use spare CPU cycles in the search for signals and other signs from space for intelligent life or anomolies. They are easy to use, have little (mostly NO) impact on your system (even in benchmarks) and also help science too 🙂

Come on over to the DC forum and see what TeAm AnandTech is all about...you'll be glad you did!!! 😀

think I'll have to sit out this race, but you can rest assured all the rigs from suspend.net will be joining TeAm AT once I'm all moved in and get everything setup 🙂 Good luck!

Please consider giving a little back to AnandTech by donating spare cpu cycles.

You might find that it is such a joy to belong to the TeAm and you may get so much happy tech support and you may find that you simply can not live without the STATS and comraderie that you might just find yourself spending more time in the Distributed Computing Forum than you do in any other place online.

Come on, give it a chance! Besides we really do need your help right now in the RACE between AnandTech and DSLR!!!

Come on guys.. SETI@Home is doing some good science with this computing power and it's certainly a worthy cause.. Might as well put those wasted CPU cycles to work! Just don't pull the "steal-computer-time-from-work-without-permission" stunt and get arrested like some guy did a while back.. It's a pretty cool screen saver, to boot!

Anyhow, it does no harm, and it never hurts to show a bit of Anandtech spirit!

OK, I've started doing SETI again to help out with the race! 😀 I've got my T-Bird 1.1Ghz/512MB up and running the CLI and I have a 600Mhz server coming up in about 2 weeks, plus I recruited a friend of mine to start SETI again for the race on his T-Bird 2.0Ghz/512MB.
