My apologies crownjules and fenixgoon. That game on Sunday that I played with ya'll was one of my worst games I've played in awhile. Getting harassed in the jungle from eve and then further getting harassed in the jungle by Zil just completely fucked me over and I couldn't catch up after that.

Seems to be one of the main problems with jungling amumu is that if the enemy can distrupt me in the jungle they can serious screw up a good jungle progression. After that it all seems downhill from there.

I might have to go back to playing karthus as my last few games playing amumu have been rather disapointing.

Haha, I know how you feel, played a few games with them too, and I royally sucked in a few, had to go afk for most of one (but they still held it down), and so so in another..nothing stellar or sure..but then those were my first times doing ranked...

Everyone has bad games. Except the really good players. And that's why they're really good. Maybe one day I'll get there...

Been having a resurgent run with Ashe the last few days. I really want to try a crit damage rune build with her. 293% crit damage sounds pretty insane when coupled with her passive and a 47% crit chance rate through items. It would just cost me a bunch of IP to get the necessary runes and I want more heroes.
 
Are you aware that you can redo your masteries during champ select? Just click on the masteries icon and it will bring up the mastery page.

I've been trying out a lifesteal build lately. Start off Vamp scept x2, swiftness boots, phantom dancer x2, Inf Edge, upgrade vamp scepters to Hextech Gunblade x2. So far I've only gotten up to 1 gunblade and I was totally raping in that game (21/5/13 I think) so I like it so far. Plus I like that fact that I'm just stupid fast. Makes it easy to gtfo of dodge when things turn bad.

I'm thinking of upgrading a little more and going vamp scept x2, swiftness, dancer, inf edge, gunblade, dancer, gunblade, or maybe doing a bloodthirster instead of the other gunblade. Thoughts?

Get a program called AutoLOL. You can pre do your masteries for each of your character builds in it, then you run it and it changes your masteries for you. Very handy for quick changes.
 
Holy crap, I play ranked, not because it's more serious or because I get a visible elo (this is nice) but mainly because I love the draft prick and ability to ban/counterpick.

That said, everyone knows that Rammus & Amumu are basically perma-banned (Rammus more than Amumu) and both teams angled to get one. Thankfully we had the first pick so my team traded me Rammus and the other team immediately took Amumu. Wow, Amumu is decent when he hits 6, but Rammus is immediately lethal. The mids were beating on each other so after going Blue > Wolves > wraiths, I popped out and ganked mid. I then killed red and golems and ganked bottom without having to go back. In the end I was only 5/2/?? but we got a 25 minute surrender out of them.

Nice on ward stacking increased to 5 (not that many people even by 1 throughout the course of a game let alone 5 at once). Also some buffs to minion and tower damage.

Dragon Strike: Jarvan IV charges through his opponent, dealing physical damage and lowering their armor by a %. This will pull Jarvan IV to a Standard if it encounters one, knocking up all enemies in his path.
Golden Aegis: Jarvan IV calls upon the ancient kings of Demacia to shield him from harm and slow surrounding enemies.
Demacian Standard: Passively grants Jarvan bonus attack speed and armor. Active: Throws a Demacian flag, dealing physical damage and granting passive benefits to nearby allies.

I was happy about the changes to ward stacking. Sometimes you just wanna buy more.

The minion buff on summoner's rift is interesting. If nothing else, the towers should go down quicker when a lane is left empty. I don't see the buff to MR and armor upping their survivability enough to make a big difference.

Janna most certainly got the biggest nerf this go around. Urgot got "nerfed" by fixing a bug. Everything else was a buff this time around. No super nerfage.
 
They lengthened the cooldown on his taunt some in a recent patch. With Rammus, you need to take it slowly. Try to do even a little too much nerfing at once and he'll become useless.
 
this new champ's ult is the stupidest ult ever. he's either going to troll or get trolled so hard in the public game. see enemy kennen coming in hard with ult? surround him as well as half of the team with ult to make sure nobody gets out. see a teammate Jarven who just landed an ult and you happen to be anivia or trudle? throw a wall in the fight cage!! you only got a silver of HP left and the enemy is running with half of theirs? ult him and die and leave your fight cage in the path of your teammates who were also chasing. it goes on and on.

on the other hand i might just buy him to counter troll...

I like him a lot, but his ult needs special care lol. It can really screw your team over if used wrong. So far I've been most successful using it 1v1 or on 1-2 enemies that are trying to flee. Other than that, in a team fight with 6+ ppl, it's dangerous for both sides..
 
im not sure if the cage disappears after he dies but there are many times that it was preventing me from helping and he died alone. for example, in a 2v2 chase with jarvin has little HP and his teammate has much HP. jarvin ults and dies, teammate left alone fighting 2+ opponents.

the biggest problem with him so far i can see is that he can initiate but he can't finish unless there are either teammates in the ring or there are teammates who can flash into the ring (many can, but they don't necessary have the skill ready every time he ults without coordination).
 
I've not been terribly impressed with Jarvan yet... and sorry guys for sucking so bad last night (it's always nice to play with people who can carry me while I have bad days) .
 
From what I've heard, Jarvan is pretty OP in the right hands. Outside of his ult, every skill is at least dual purpose. An AOE slow/shield, an armor/aspd buff that can be thrown for damage and to buff allies the same, and a damage move that can be a blink/knockup. But as with every new champ release, people are going to be new to him and trying to get a handle on how to use him so they aren't playing him optimally. Only played a couple games with Rhoxed as him and our teams weren't good so not a good gauge of his effectiveness.
 
for whatever reason, i just got around to playing trundle for the first time last night... man what a beast ... i've been playing alot of pure dps lately, so it was nice to have alittle utility to help the team chase/escape

every time i see a good trundle, he absolutely rapes and just carries hardcore. and all he had was like... boots, trinity, and wriggles maybe? and roflstomped my team 🙁

So since the latest patch I"ve been playing really really bad. I couldn't figure it out other than I just thought I was having a bad spell. Then..after thinking, I realized that I also had been playing SC2 (Risk Mod), which has movement similar to LOL. I began thinking it was what was screwing up my timing..something was just off. Then finally..I found it. The last patch reset my mouse settings! 😛
 
I'm on one of those epic losing binges right now. I was +41 W-L last week and now I'm only +23 or so. I think the last time I won a game was on tuesday. Sure I think I didn't do my best in some of those games, but in lots of cases my teammates where just horrible. I think in the last patch, them lowering the death timers just helps my teammates die that more often. I might have to start playing TT, that way I only have to depend on two other people instead of 4.
