Old SCSI controller....performance loss?

This is like my 5th post about scsi hard drives, but I have one more question...

I have an ultra scsi 9.2gb cheetah hard drive that I will be using with an older 2940u2w adaptec card. Although it is only an ultra 2 card and not ultra 160, will I see much of a loss? Will this have a huge effect on my sustained data transfer rate or my burst rate? Last but not least....will this be faster than my Maxtor 60gb ide drive?

Any help is appreciated.....just trying to figure out if this is a waste of time. Thanks!
