Hey guys,

Just built a retro rig around the Tyan S2462 Athlon MP board. Bought it from an eBay tech seller as tested and working. Using the MP 2600+ CPUs it came with. Added in 4x 1GB of Samsung ECC 2700 DDR.

Trying to achieve a first boot and nothing is happening whatsoever. Not even a brief fan spin up.

I have cleared CMOS multiple times, tried fewer/alternating DIMMs and... nada.

I do have the 8-pin CPU power connected as well.

Any ideas?

Well that's lovely. Thanks for the tip.

And, uh-oh...

"Because the ATX GES and WTX power supplies use different pinouts than the ATX12V and EPS12V power supplies, if you install an ATX GES or WTX-compatible power supply in a server designed to use ATX12V v2.x or EPS12V, or vice versa, you will damage the motherboard and power supply."

Hmmm...

Yes, but hopefully your parts are still ok as most modern power supplies have pretty good safety protections (short circuit, over voltage, etc).
