Old scanner trouble

Hello all,

I'm working with an older scanner which is an Artec AM12E. It was working fine for my relatives before but now, when they try to enable it, the following error occurs.......

"fail to adjust to an adequate color balance value"

Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this error? The scanner was working fine before on windows 2000. The scanner never had issues before.

Thanks all.

Thanks LTC8K6,

I tried getting the answer from the ARTEC site before and ran into the same scenario.

LOL! Would you believe the only faq that's not coming up is the one I need? LOL! All the other faqs work fine. Just my luck. Hopefully I will here from someone soon.

Dude,

Got to Best Buy or computer store and buy a new HP or Epson scanner. I just bought a $130 HP scanner on 2/21 with a 1 year warranty. It's new and works with WIN XP too.

It just not worth the time anymore trying to fix a realtively inexpoensive peripheral.
