Looking for an old RTS game from 1998-to about 2002 and I could be off a year or two. There are 4 factions each with a leader that if dies the game is over. The only only faction I really used was the evil/undead faction that had an old man wizard for their leader. I believe you collect resources and can build structures. Each faction can also build a dragon. Black Dragon for the evil group, water dragon for that group, earth dragon for that group and a gold dragon for the good alignment group. If anyone knows this game I will be forever grateful. I already checked that wiki list and didn't see it on there.

I loved setting up impenetrable defenses with lines of skeleton archers and just watching the enemy level up my defenses for me.

Also, wasn't this the game where the builders would scream "Lodestone!" or am I remember a different game?

TA was my favorite RTS, but I tried Kingdoms a couple times and it just seemed not fun at all. I'm still meaning to try it again.

In related news (old but so what), Spring tries to bring more of that TA love to a more modern engine, and it works too. Well worth checking out if you own TA.

Huh, there's a free game there, 'Total Annihilation Prime'.

Spring is awesome. I've been playing it on/off for the last 10+ years. I used to play 'Balanced Annihilation' mod.

Supreme Commander is very similar and in some ways superior.
I keep hoping for a Kingdoms remake, but that's life.
