Yeah, get WinRAR and put them all in one RAR file. You can even specify that it not have any compression. What you do want to do is specify an encryption password. That way if she attempts to open the file after you rename it to something benign -- like "filecache.bak" -- she'll have to know the password to get in.

What the hell is Top Gear? Besides porn.

you dont even need to do that, just create a folder in some obscure program files folder and put it all in there.

Why exactly would you want to hide those? Unless you think she'll delete them.

If you're worried about her deleting stuff just enable the guest account and run gpedit.msc so you can configure it so she can't delete stuff.

What is the quickest, simplest way to hide them from her?
Nothing elaborate, she is not a computer hacker, just want them out of site for a while.

Out of curiousity, why do you want to hide your top gear videos from your ex girlfriend?

Turn in you Nerd Card? right now if that was a serious question.
I have good looking girls coming over to my house. One is making dinner for me, and the other is an ex-GF coming to borrow my PC.
I am not a nerd. :frown:

Not without a Nerd Card? you aren't. Thats for sure.

glen, are you freaking serious? This is seriously something that is so incredibly easy that I find it hard to believe.

If you are serious, make a folder inside the Windows folder called "command" or something like that (C:\Windows\command) and just put them there.

No one would ever ever ever look for videos in a folder like that.

Hell, you could put them ANYWHERE on your computer in just a random folder and there's a 99.99% chance they'd never find it unless they were looking for it.

Windows Media Player saves your recently viewed videos, and archives all your videos, so when even the dumbest of computer users goes to media palyer they easily stumble upon hidden material. This is why it is good to consistently rename your folders.

well if you move them like I said then you're safe from that. Also, you can just remove the history I think. If not, open up 5 random vids and you're set
