Old dell optiplex XL-100 memory problem, SOLUTION???

i have one old dell optiplex xl-100. it will not reconize a 8mb sims ram, anyone knows what the problem???
2x16=32; 2x8=8 🙂

i'm not sure what type of memory it is because i got it from compgeek. From their website they advertise it with 16mb of ram....but come out to be 8mb , i email them few days ago, no responce yet. email again just now.

anyway, i try installed another 2x8mb but again, shown as 8mb....🙂

is there anyway to figure what type of memory it is? pararity? ...any clue?
