old comcast DVR motorola 6412 vs newer model with HDMI

I am still using the older comcast HD dvr something something-6412 with the DVI output. I am only using the comp outputs, because my TV doesn't have DVI in, but has HDMI inputs. I am thinking about swapping it with the current version of HD dvr that has a hmdi output. Anyone else did a samiliar upgrade, did you notice any picture diff between the 2 units?

there is no difference in picture quality from the new box. you likely will see an improvement in using a digital connection (either hdmi or a dvi-hdmi adapter) rather than the analog outputs.

I somewhat recently upgraded boxes- I did not see any visual improvment, but the new box is much more responsive, larger HD, and much much quicker.

no doubt these boxes are terribly slow, but what do you mean by "larger hd"?

I thought they all come with a 120gb hd? Did you upgrade to the 6412 III? anyway, just bought a DVI to HDMi cable online, I've been using the component inputs, might or might see a diff.
