Old coats

Have you ever put on an old coat or pair of jeans or something else and found something interesting in the pockets?

I grabbed an old coat out of the closet tonight and found an interesting reminder from the past.

Anyone have a good story?

I found a $20 bill and a McDonald's receipt from 2002.

Was going through my closet when we moved house for the first time since 1979 a few years ago... Found an old jacket at the very back with some nuddy pics in the pocket that I remember my cousin gave me when i was like 12 years old... I must have "hid" them there back then...

More recently, found $300 in gaming chips from the Taj Atlantic City in another jacket which i havent worn in a few years...

I once bought a jacket at an Eddie Bauer warehouse sale where they sold merchandise that had been returned and such. The coat was $10 and when I got home I found a $20 bill in the inside pocket.

It should be obvious. Once upon a time you were a politician, then you either developed amnesia or grew a conscience. I suppose you could be a former IRS employee, too.

I found some silver ingots, and a receipt from when I bought them in January of 1999. Silver was only $3.99 an ounce at the time, if I recall correctly.

Just old receipts, a bunch of napkins that were so old they were falling apart, old ass chapstick, pocket watch, change, guitar pic and other assorted garbage.

Just kidding... but BR spiders are the first thing I think about when I grab a blanked or coat that's been in a closet for more than 6 months. I'll spend 10 minutes trying to find the spiders.

Edit to add that I have never found a BR spider in a blanket of a coat, but that doesn't stop me from looking.

Not an old coat, but a hat. My regular one was in the washer so I grabbed an old one. Well it turns out that 6 feet off the floor on a coat hangar is not out of reach for mice. When I tried to put it on, there was a bunch of mouse shit inside. Guess it was cozy.
