I know mine isnt that old but it is getting some miles on it.

2001 Honda Civic
126,000 miles on it.

Only problem with the car is my SRS control unit went out. $120 part, $60 to put it in. Shes still going strong!

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... 2001 old?... 😛

Try a 92 passat. I dont know wtf VW was thinking when they designed that interior. Someday, I should take a photo of the dash for AT.

1984 Ford LTD... ugh... it makes me a sad panda.

EDIT Text I WISH mine was in that good of shape, and no I don't have the 5 litre in it either. 🙁

diesel?

1990 Acura Integra LS
~205,000 miles (hard to say exactly, since I drove for about 6 months without a working speedometer/odometer cable 😛)

It has more problems than I can list, but I've kept it running doing all the work myself. It mostly needs an entirely new body, thanks to lots of hit-and-runs. The rest of it has been mostly replaced over the years.

If your car starts with 20__ it's not a beater. Unless it's a BMW 2002, then maybe.
Most of my cars have been beaters.

I had a 94 Taurus Station Wagon before my civic.

1994 Mazda Miata w/ 108k miles. Not really a beater tho. I still take care of it and it's in pretty good shape. No rust anywhere.

1984 Ford ZK Fairlane EFI

It's fitted with a 170hp(127kw) EFI 4.1L inline 6, 3 spd auto and a 2.77:1 lsd diff and pretty much every power option availible in 1984 (Fast glass, A/C, sunroof, P/S, Power seats etc)

It has 266000kays on the clock and still starts first turn of the key, I'm the second owner...oh did I mention that it's in better condition than most cars that are only 2 years old...the only thing that doesn't work properly are the power windows but I get that seen to shortly.

It drives really nice and handles reasonably well for a luxery barge...it needs about 3 inches knocked out of the ride height and maybe slightly fatter sway bars front and back..but other than that I would prefer to cruise around in it than something later, it's that comfortable.

My other ride a 1986 Ford XF Falcon S pack sedan recently died due to oil pump failure,it will still start and can drive but starts to make some noises and eventually starts to vibrate real bad...but it still runs... it had a hard but good life and managed a little over 680000kays before biting the dust...now it's stripped down in dad's shed awaiting a full rebuild..it's earned it.

I had it for over 3 years and put over 150000kays on it in that time and it only ever needed to have a head gasket replaced in that time, which only took a couple of hours to do on such a basic OHV inline 6.

WTF do you people do to your cars? Have you never changed the oil? A 2003 is still brand new. My 13 y/o car idles fine.

yeah it amazes me how people can stuff relatively news cars so quickly, my 84 ford is still capable fo doing over 200km/h and never misses a beat.

My old 86 ford before it died was good for 205km/h right up till the week before it died...maybe that might have had something to do with....nah I'll blame the 680000kays instead.

heh, I wish! Still, it's a free car so can't complain much. I'm just waiting for it to die.

My beater is the coolest of all. 89 dodge caravan TURBO hehe 154k miles
Intercooled, 3in exhaust, 18psi of boost, forged internals, rebuilt tranny with shift kit, bunch of other little crap, and ugly as can be.
Beater

97 civic ex. Nice car to get around in without looking dorky. Great gas mileage too. Waiting till I graduate so that I may part with it and get an all wheel drive car to take up to tahoe.

Well as you didn't sink too much into it, more power to you.

I have some where around $3k in it spread over 5 years including buying it. May seem like a lot for an old 89 caravan but everything under the hood is new or rebuilt so I doubt I could find something any better mechanically for that much. I'm sure I could find something that looks better though 🙂.
