Also, software such as VirtualPC existed, although it was quite slow.

If you wanted to run it at a reasonable speed, you needed the card. I considered getting one, but never did.

I have one of these in the closet. The PC card has it's own processor and ram. I believe it had a Pentium 90.

Not really, but at least OS X is stable. OS 9 was a piece of shit that would crash every hour. Even Windows 95 was more stable.

Not really, but at least OS X is stable. OS 9 was a piece of shit that would crash every hour. Even Windows 95 was more stable.

I have a lot of nostalgia for OS 9. 🙁 You leave OS 9 alone!

9.0 was pretty bad...I stuck with 8.6 until 9.0.4 (I think that's the correct number, don't remember exactly). However, 9.0.4 and up was fine. If it was crashing every hour your system was FUBAR.

I don't remember what version we used at school but I took a computer graphics class and I was always losing my work because OS 9 was so unstable.

Yes, not "early" versions of windows per say, but Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0 had PPC versions available.
