Old Apple Ad with Power Mac running Windows 95

Also, software such as VirtualPC existed, although it was quite slow.

If you wanted to run it at a reasonable speed, you needed the card. I considered getting one, but never did.

I have one of these in the closet. The PC card has it's own processor and ram. I believe it had a Pentium 90.

Some Macs had PC cards in them that let them run a real O/S.

fixed 🙂

At the time that was correct. Mac OS 8/9 was shit. OS X is far superior to Windows. Everyone knows this.

Not really, but at least OS X is stable. OS 9 was a piece of shit that would crash every hour. Even Windows 95 was more stable.

I have a lot of nostalgia for OS 9. 🙁 You leave OS 9 alone!

I don't remember what version we used at school but I took a computer graphics class and I was always losing my work because OS 9 was so unstable.

i thought there were versions of early versions of windows compiled to run on PPC processors...

Yes, not "early" versions of windows per say, but Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0 had PPC versions available.

NT 3.51 and 4.0 arent early versions, compared to XP and vista? 😛

0 problems running vista here.

That's because you can't do anything with it. 😛
