Man these guys just won't learn. Alienating more and more demographics except white males. Remember that self reflection report that said they need more outreach. Not everyone got the memo.

In the back and forth comments that followed, Esk was asked by another Facebook user, “So, just to be clear, you think we should execute homosexuals (presumably by stoning)?”

“I think we would be totally in the right to do it,“ Scott Esk replies. “That goes against some parts of libertarianism, I realize, and I’m largely libertarian, but ignoring as a nation things that are worthy of death is very remiss.”

Calling out some fake BS there. Else he should be given a one way ticket to the Middle East.

Oklahoma is a silly place, remind me to never go near it.

Unfortunately another backwards place with voters, Senators, Representatives, Etc.

Complete fucking nutbag, or a nobody getting carried away with some post-Cantor exuberance?

Might be both.

For the record, actual libertarians are strongly in favor of gay rights.
The reason, of course, is because rational persons base their code of ethics not off the old testament, but reciprocity.

Of course. Women should also be bussed outside of town limits while on their period as well.

From his campaign web site:

I met the love of my life, Pamela, when I was at OU. We were married for 15 years, and had 3 handsome boys, 1 of whom is an adult now. Frivolous divorce raised its ugly head in the Esk home, and I am still trying to reconcile with Pam, considering that to be our only option from my understanding of the Bible on marriage and divorce.
A "Frivolous divorce"? Is that what guys call it when their wife divorces them and they themselves didn't want said divorce? I hope she has a restraining order, it sounds like he's one of those diehards.

Oops, I mean religious zealot.

Well, while this may sound crass, I'm now finally beginning to understand why God must like to strike down Bible Belt Oklahoma with devastating tornadoes on a regular basis. And the weird part is many of people that live there refuse to leave even after they get hit, then rebuild and wait for the next tornado to tear their families and homes apart.

I even heard about some people who are so religious they refuse to leave their churches and congregations and have had their homes destroyed 3 or 4 times in the last 30 years. That's beyond dense, that's just plain stupid. How truly faithful can they claim to be when their imaginary God keeps knocking their homes down apparently just to spite them for their warped and bigoted beliefs?

Isn't that the typical conservative opinion? At least he's honest about it.

The Tea Party is the US version of Al Qaida. As dangerous, and its members should be treated in the exact same way as Al Qaida members.

I have lived in OK for the last quarter century and this does not surprise me one bit. Some of the people in charge (or want to be in charge) here make me think of the Talibans. They can barely count past ten but always are ready to throw around hatred and intolerance. Bible in one hand, firearm in the other, claim in the name of God everything they do/touch, absolute and total hypocrisy and yet they pat themselves in the back as if thats something one should be proud of.
we rank almost last (Thank God for the total shithole that is the state of Mississipi) in education, median household income, mental health facilities, with one of the highest divorce rate and yet what do we worry about? it's the GAYs, Muslims, weed, and illegal Mexicans. It's so fucked up that news ike this make local headlines almost weekly.
