UPDATE: It's bullshit. Kinda sad that it seemed so real.

You can't make this stuff up. :D

http://topekasnews.com/oklahoma-pro...-union-neil-degrasse-tysons-cosmos-cancelled/

Several weeks ago, citizens accused Tyson of using his Cosmos program to forward other agendas, not limited to a ‘homogay’ agenda, wizardry/haroldry, astrology and other vehemently anti-Christian teachings.

“If we allow this Tyson to keep publicly airing his beliefs, God just may strike us down with a cosmic meteor this summer. That would be ironic justice if you ask me, so we should just take this show off now before that happens.”

Please let them secede. It would amuse me to no end to see Oklahoma attempt to run itself as it's own landlocked creationist zoo of a "nation".

Oh.

Sad that it seemed so real. In the age of "legitimate rape" and the WBC this is small potatoes.

Been there done that. It really is sad that so many parodies are easily believable.

Edit: ummmm by done that I mean falling for a parody article and posting, not rape...

I have lived in Oklahoma the last 25 years and that does not surprise me one bit. Only if you guys knew about all the religious nutjobs we have around here it would blow your mind. The bible held in one hand, a rifle in the other around here. Read a science book automatically qualifies you as an Anti-Christ follower.

Creationists are the dimmest of all bulbs. They also have some weird obsession with the end of the world in the hopes that they will be justified in their retarded beliefs.

If there are enough of them they can make it a self-fulfilling prophecy, which is why they must be confronted.
