Led by Clayton I. Bennett, The Professional Basketball Club, LLC is a group of Oklahoma City businessmen who represent a wide variety of local and national business interests. The PBC owns both the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA and the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Developmental League. The PBC purchased the NBA franchise in 2006.
four years ago?

One of the best core of young players in the NBA. If they had a center that could do his job well, they would be an awesome team as the other 4 positions appear to be solid for quite some time.

This should be their third year. They drafted Durant and Green their first year in OKC and this is their third year in the NBA.

last season was the first playing as the Thunder.

The Hornets played 2 seasons in OKC and New Orleans after Katrina. So technically there's been 4 years of NBA basketball played in Oklahoma City but only 1 full season as the Thunder.

LOL, they haven't been the Thunder for 4 years have they??? Dam, they need some new marketing guys if that's the case.

From what I last heard they're doing very well in Oklahoma in terms of support, altho their record has been that of an expansion team. They've showed they can win this year tho and if they make the playoffs they'll get much of the nat'l exposure they badly need to help solidify their 'brand.'

I see the NBA is fast approaching WNBA territory for stupid PC team names. It's hard to beat "Mercury", "Fever", and "Dream" though.

Wow. I watch a decent amount of NBA games and didn't realize that the Supersonics moved. Just getting used to the changes in the Eastern Conference I guess.

It was a big court ordeal. Mr. Starbucks sold them to some oklahoma businessmen supposedly thinking they're commitment to 'explore' every avenue to keep the sonics in seattle meant that after the deal closed they wouldn't be whisked off to oklahoma. After seattle didn't want to pay for a new stadium and told them and david stern to chomp on it, they got whisked off to oklahoma.

I think that's the cliffs, someone can correct me if I'm wrong but the don't need to since I've been on a losing streak lately and need a confidence builder. 😛

Yeah, Zombie Sonics. Awesome team to watch! Shame they didn't stay in Seattle so I could drive down and watch them on a semi-regular basis.
