Just like the title says! My buddy is looking for a 15" LCD that performs reasonably well! I told him to go for a 17" but he doesn't have the cash flow! Are the Planar any good? How about Sceptre? Maybe a Samsung? Thanks for all the help!

Please do the following:

1) Go here.
2) Check the boxes for "General Hardware" and "Video."
3) Type "lcd" without the quotes into the search field.
4) Click the Search button.
5) Proceed to look through the dozens and dozens of threads about various models and sizes of LCD monitors.

You should keep your eye on best buy or frys.. Best Buy usually has a sale on the Mag Innovision 15" LCDs, I have one got it from best buy 329 - 60 MIR and the mail in rebate came in like 2 weeks, pretty nice looking moniter too. A friend of mine picked one up the day after thanks giving paid 329 - 80 MIR grrrrr saved an extra 20 bucks!!

If you buy one from frys usually they sell them 299 sometimes with mail in rebates but they're GEM moniters (Generic) probably work the same.

most 15" LCD screens dont have DVI input so they're all the same basically, dont go overboard with a name brand like NEC or Viewsonic just paying for the name...
