A girl I'm dating is from a smaller town - I heard her dad complain about the neighbors mowing their yard on sunday.. that is was disrespectful (not from a religious standpoint, but from a disturbing the neighborhood who usually has visitors..) apparently this isn't a 'one time' thing.. you really aren't supposed to do loud outside work on sunday.

I kind of need to mow my yard... it's not bad, but the leaves need mulched and it's getting sorta tall. Then again, I also need to clean my garage and wash the car.

EDIT:

okay just got done mowing.. sunset was an hour ago (turned on the floodlights to see so that I could finish..) and it's 49 deg outside... That's what the neighbors get for having their kids outside playing loudly until 7 last night 😛

Yeah right... there's nothing wrong with mowing your lawn on a Sunday. I wouldn't mow my lawn on a Sunday morning because I live next to a church, but I'd mow it Sunday afternoon.

Crap like this would MAKE me mow my lawn only on Sundays. I hear blowers, weedeaters, an lawn mowers right now. I guess my neighbors are asshats.

Don't you dare paint your house on Wednesday. That'll offend me. :|
Don't even joke about that, it's beyond a sin to think about painting a house on Wednesday. :|

It's pretty evident IMO, that they have no respect.

That's crazy.

I'm exceptionally anal about noisy neighbors. I mean, really freaking anal about it, and I've never even thought of that. Now if we're talking about kids outside playing... Call the police and break out the tear gas. 😛

i concur

clean garage > wash car >>> mow lawn only if it is 2 ft and you are going out of town

I grew up in the country so I wouldn't even think about doing it.
heaven forbid someone mow their lawn on Sunday  I'm sure he has contacted city council to make an ordinance against it

Do it.

I'm not a stickler, but its an unspoken rule where I'm from (and I'm not religious).

I grew up in a city of ~25,000.

If I have to mow the lawn and I miss it on Saturday, I'll wait until I get home from work on Monday.

I will work outside if its a quiet task: paint, clean up, rake, wash the maple keys off the driveway (I'm a hillbilly like that), clean in the garage, wash the cars.
