98% of the time that's what I do.

My last splurge was a K8N Neo2 Plat, 3500+ Winchester, 2x 74GB Raptor, and 2x Ballistix PC4000.

I charged that. 😉

Maybe your sentence structure would improve if you weren't concentrating so hard to always refer to yourself in third person. Just a thought.

I pay everything credit card, as I order MOST of my parts online... I order what I can locally, but it's hard to get exactly what you want from the local shops. (motherboards, video cards, etc)

I do pay my VISA bill twice a month though, every paycheque I pay down what I've previously spent on it.. It's a stupid system, but I am going to use it until my CC is completely paid down, and there is an easier way to transfer funds more widely accepted. I guess ordering online may always require me to use my CC.... oh well, I can live with it.

I totally use a credit card to protect myself, but I too pay off at the end. I also sell my old equipment to someone who isn't as dumb as me to upgrade every six months or so :7)

No cc debt since I was in college. Today, I am smarter and pay cash only. PC gets upgraded or built a part at a time. 🙂

Always cash, unless it is something I want protection on then i put in on my credit card and pay it off at the end of the month. I have never had a balance on a credit card, or bought something I could not afford.

Well.... Computers were a big reason I had a ton of debt--that and car bills.

THe first several years (1988 on) I got into computers, i bought every game, stupid utility, and so forth..... Now a days, I don't need the latest piece of hardware, nor do games do much for me anymore...... and I'm finally out of debt save my mortgage......

Be smart.... your money is better spent elseware..... put off an upgrade or two. Few of us can really justify them.

Verry Well said, by putting it off you get the same or faster part for less money. There are more importaint priorities and a computer habit/hobby is at the bottom of the list.

I use the CC and then transfer the funds from my checking account ASAP. I almost never let it ride more than a week, which is why I usually upgrade a little at a time. I never sell my used parts and hate the thought of tearing down a perfectly good system just because it's not fast enough for the hot games.

CC, then pay it off each month in full. If I happen to purchase a retail package (which I never do anymore), I'll only use long-term no-interest deals.
