Yeah think I would like to join too. Bad thing is that I would have to leave pcmech, sorry but they was they first site that I found and I joined their seti team. But would be happy to change over. Got around a 100 units!😎

danzigrules: What we're talking about creating a "SETI mini-team" within the Team Anandtech rc5 team. In other words, we're current TA SETI people who are switching some or all of our power over to the Team Anandtech rc5 effort.

badthad: I can't take any credit here. Train came up with the idea for SETI members to help the rc5 team in exchange for their help down the road. DanStp had the idea of creating a SETI mini-team for rc5. I just like both ideas! 🙂

this is fantastic!!! Train, you rock, sir/madam! In a couple of daysm, when my race with Mucman is over, I will convert my fleet...er...herd...or whatever to running rc5. I think that our seti standings might suffer in the meantime, but in the long run...man, what a day that'll be when the switchover goes down... 😀 kinda brings a smile to your face 😀
 
I am now doing rc5 for borg I think?...lol not sure might be mt own, hell I'm lost, but am going to join ta seti too. People are gratefull here, their they just say welcome! Like the team effort hear!!

I do have a ? though If I run seti and rc5, will it slow them both down? Be better off running 1 at a time?

Seti can be run as your screen saver and rc5 at times when you are on the comp if you want danzigrules. That way you can still contribute to both projects.

I like the idea of a seti mini team. I start sending the blocks i do do that way.

We will have to worry later about getting people we asslaminate to switch to SETI after RC5.

I am glad to see that the whole team, Meaning everyone doing DC for Anandtech, helping out for a good cause. I have thought about going to SETI after rc5 is done. And believe me. I know why now.

All I can say is "Welcome all members. Thank you soo much. Our debt will surly be repaid."

Out of the clear blue sky, It's a bird, no, its' a train, no, it's it's, oh, wait, it is TRAIN, WOOHOO, Hip Hip Hooray, LETS DO IT!

I have two ghz to dedicate to seti after rc5, they are 24/7 , I was getting burned out on DC and considering dropping it after rc5, but if you guys pull for rc5 now I will commit to seti after rc5!
 
Once RC5 is over, I will throw any and all power I have at S@H - just a warning for the S@H guys - this will certainly speed things up, but remember that there are still a lot of blocks left....if we're lucky, it'll be over tomorrow (though I did oneday want to get up to 1million 😛 ). If we're not, it might still be awhile. But with teh news that they're extending S@H....you guys will have my support because you are helping us vanquish DPC and /. 😀
 
why is that michael? I know that i had my initial misgivings about it as well, but look at it this way, we may slow down a bit due to the loss of individual users, but in a matter of months when the key is found in rc5, the seti output will grow well beyond its current rate, and TA will soar well past the top ten. you know all those members we've been dying to recruit for so long? well, here they are, and they really appreciate our sacrifice. they will make it up to us. they know how hard it is to give up output and rankings. they understand - really. that is why when the time comes, they will repay us in spades.
