I have decided to upgrade my computer. I have a p3 right now, and because of the prices of ram, I want to use my same sdram(pc133) in my new system. I have seen several chipsets that support sdram, so what would be the best? I am hoping to find a board that will support an xp1800, sdram, and raid. Any ideas?

Thanks

I can't recommend a board with sdram and raid. The ecs k7s5a is a popular board that uses either sdram or ddram (not both together), but I have no idea how well it would work with a raid card. Have you tried selling your old sdram? The kt266a boards are the best value for performance/price. They start at only $59 (abit kr7a w/raid at computer geeks or ak31a at newegg). Ddram starts at about $56 online for generic.

about the only semi modern board you will be able to get that will support your current pc133 is the one listed above, the ecs k7s5a

without switching to newer ddr ram you will really limit your upgrading options... meaning your upgrading to an already dated motherboard
