True. That was a major selling point of the early Android devices, multi-tasking.
Eh, multitask is important on like a pc with a 20 in screen. Not so much on a device with a 3.5" screen.
So Android tackled the technical challenge of multitasking early, while Apple tackled UI responsiveness. I think Apple made the right choice. Today, I don't really noticed multi-tasking performance improving my experience. At best, I get background downloads.
