Outersquare: you from Cow Poly? , I thoguht YOU are from UCLA, you even look like you are from UCLA (yeah, I remeber Croton is from UCLA). Anyway, I don't want a Fob g/f, why would I want another fob in my life if I don't want to be one. I don't have much fobby friends, I actually tried to make more non-HongKong-ppl as friends, so call me a reverse-racist, I wanna be WHITE! (okay, just kidding)
but seriously though, fobby girls are generally ugly, the way they dress are.... oversize Abercrombie and Fitch sweater with tight shorts and old school 3stripes adidas over long socks. yuck.

and I am not anti-social, I don't hide inside my room in front of the computer and play games, IRC and eat Top Ramen (okay, except the last one). I haven't been here as often as i did before (I joined AT 2 years ago and post religiously), if anyone bother to check my stats, I guess my post-per-day is like 0.5/day by now.

and yes I have female friends too, and I have no problem talking to them, but for the ones I do like/love, I have some hicups in conversating.

okay, I have to be frank now, I don't goto Cal State LA anymore (it was a long story, in short, I "transferred" to PCC - Pasadena City College) which, has a LOT MORE chicks. I still live in Cal State LA though...

anyways, I really appreciate your work. I didn't even know there's so many clubs in Calstate LA. !
I joined a Ski Club and the Abacus (an IT club) and before, which took me to Comdex for the last two years...

Yeah I go to cow poly, I have nothing to do with UCLA. I did go to UC Berkeley for two years and then I dropped out. I couldn't handle that school, that place is a sea of freaks.

As for a fob gf, don't be so quick to discard the idea. If nothing else, fobs usually come from good families and it means that they don't have any major head 'issues' to deal with. This one girl who I was hitting it off with pretty well once was a bit on the fobby side, but she was a great person. I never did hook up with her because school was killing me while I was at Cal but I wish I had.

As for conversation with the girl you like, that's just something that's ultimately up to you. If you have no problems talking to other people, it's just a freeze up with that girl. Just dive in, you won't get anywhere if you don't make an effort.

oh finally, you don't necessarily have to be an enrolled student to get involved with the clubs I listed. I know my club takes friends of members along for whatever activities we're doing, and those people aren't cal poly students. Just go and check it out, you have nothing to lose.

I'd have no complaints about hooking up with a fobby girl if she was right for me.

ucb vs csu pomona, each school has it's plus and minus. I do like how it's more easy going and less pyschotic here than it is at Berkeley.

As for nicer, depends on the area, the suburban areas are really nice. But south side of Berkeley is pretty bad and it's not too far from Oakland, which is a high crime, high violence, poverty ridden area. It's just like any other major metropolis, it has good and bad aspects.

I will say I liked the people (minus the nutjobs in berkeley) I met in the bay area more than the people I meet out here.
