Okay, definitely the funniest thing I've heard all day

So I'm talking to one of my friends, and this is his first week working at Jamba Juice. Today while he was on his shift some guy walks in and everyone else on shift knows him and are talking and stuff, and he goes to the bathroom. While he's in there, one of the girls on shift walks over to my friend and hands a him a piece of paper with a phone number written on it and the name Jake (that's the name of the guy). She said that this Jake fellow thinks my friend is drop-dead gorgeous and that my friend should call him sometime. My friend is totally straight.

Ryan, Drew, others of the boards: would you do this to a total and complete stranger?

Yeah, your point? Everyone I know goes there. If you're implying that only girls and gay guys go there, I guess you don't know what California is like at all. I know business people that go there. I don't understand it, it's just another smoothie place, but whatever.

No - not unless the guy was exuding extreme gay vibes. But even so, I woulnd't give my number out - I don't go for the stereotypical gay type. Biggest turn off for me is a feminine guy. Blah.

Yeah, I'd do that. If I were 13. What kind of grown man passes notes?

I'd make eyes and flirt and see if he responded. Straight guys don't even notice it, so it wouldn't make the guy as uncomfortable as a note.

Anyways, someone's immature. There's sooo many immature gay guys though, it's not even suprising.

Yeah. My friend didn't know the guy so obviously he was just going about his business without paying attention.

That's what I thought. I already have a hard enough time doing stuff like that with females and getting rejected, but as a gay male trying to do something like that; the odds of rejection are much much higher.

If you pay attention to the signs, the odds of rejection are pretty good when dealing with gay men. Assuming you're shooting within your league. Whereas beautiful women will date ugly men, gay men almost universally choose to be with someone equally good looking. It's part of the innate shallowness of an all male culture.

Makes sense.

I just figured they were higher because the ratio of heterosexual women to homosexual men was very lopsided. It's a lot easier for me to find a girl on the streets than it is for you to find a guy.
