Someone has to have a Clie!
I just got one, used and it didn't come with a driver CD. It's a PEG-S300 .. I need the 'palm desktop for clie' software and the drivers I guess .. anyone have this?
Sony doesn't have downloads on their site, they want people to pay for the CD, what gives? It's not illegal though, what they want you to pay for isn't the software, it's the CD and shipping and crap.
Can someone help me out?
 
So .. which one do I need? The sony mobile connection wizard?

and they are updates anyways... Sony does not offer the original software on their site, I need someone to send me it, or prove me wrong and make me look like an ass 🙂


edit edit: and come on!!! Don't you think I would have checked the sony site before posting here?! I guess you never know though, there's all kinds of computer newbs asking all kinds of questions .. thanks though.
 
I should add that I found 'palm desktop for clie' here .. and, when it installs fine, but when I plug my cradle and PDA in and hit hotsynch .. it prompts me to install a USB driver .. okay, so I point it any of the drivers in the program heirarchy (the palm desktop one) and there is a folder in there called "usb drivers" but none of them take. If I had the CD, I could point it to 'search in CD drive" and hopefully that would work.

I just got this thing from FS/FT .. I just don't want to wait another two weeks for a CD when I waited 3 weeks for the PDA 🙁
 
dude...........clie s300! my first sony pda was s320. that model is at least 2-3 years ago. the pda itself worth less than 30 bucks now. just get yourself a new one

I actually found palm desktop for clie .. the software works, but the USB to clie driver doesn't exist anywhere.
