Well, Shigeru Miyamoto didn't work on the original Gameboy Zelda and it is arguably one of the best in the series. Inaba and Kamiya are geniuses at their craft but the right team just might be able to pull this off now that all the mechanics are set. I just worry that in making it more available, the game will loose the charm of the original. Hopefully it stays a T-Rated game.

Link's Awakening? No, he wasn't involved in it beyond creating the concept. It was directed by Takashi Tezuka. He worked with Miyamoto on a lot of other games but not this one AFAIK.

He is listed in the original credits as "Producer."
I remember reading an article that showed how the roles of Director, Producer, Executive Producer, etc align between film, television, and video games, but here's the definition of "Video Game Producer" as far as Wikipedia is concerned:
"A video game producer is the person in charge of overseeing development of a video game."
AFAIK, that's exactly what he did in the majority of his projects... just "over saw" and added input so that he could "oversee" multiple projects simultaneously.

No need to be snitty. I'm just going by the info I have. We can't all have an encyclopedia knowledge of the Zelda series. Anyway, this is extremely off topic now.
