Alright, one simple question. I recently fried a CPU out (1ghz T. Bird) and sent it back for RMA, and I am getting the RMA for it. The vendor worker told me that CHROME ORB wouldn't be 'nuff to cool down 1ghz T. Bird Socket. But if you think about it, why would AMD sell their boxed procs with the regular heatsinks? That guy was recommending TAI-SOL products... many replies appreciated.

Taisol is an AMD approved HSF for the Tbird up to and including 1.1 GHZ. The only cost $11 and change directly from Taisol. My opinion is that the chrome orb is only good up to 750MHZ or so and is not approved by AMD.

I'd agree that the Globalwins (and the Alphas) are the best you can get, but for $11, it's hard to beat the Taisol when the FOP's and Alphas are only SLIGHTLY better...
