OK - WTF just happened to my system?

I was sitting at my desk... hammering away on my keyboard... and my APC UPS starts making a shrill scream.

I unplugged it from the wall, and the battery kicked in. No worries... I just saved all of my open documents and shut down my system.

I shut the UPS off, turn it back on, and I try to turn on my computer. Notihing. Nada. No power.

I plug it directly into the wall... no UPS... still nada.

What would you guys do? I wish to hell I had backed up last week. :S

Unhook the cables to your hard drive and swap out power supplies.

I bet your power supply failed.. Is it an Antec?

do what amdskip said, isolate the hd to protect it while troubleshooting and swap the pwer supply since it is probably toasted cheese sandwich
