What I find hysterical is that you actually believe that.

Right, nothing like that would ever happen here.

Los Angeles, CA - The latest reported deaths in Los Angeles bring to thirty-eight the total that have been killed as the result of the fires, riots, and shooting that has plagued this second largest American city. The death toll has risen following another night of violence and mayhem that is said, by some, to be the consequences for the acquittal of four L.A.P.D. officers in Simi Valley, CA on Wednesday.

Why all of the callous hostility toward the country? It's not as though the history of our own nation has not be plagued with violence of all varieties, and despite the political & ideological flaws of the French government their citizens on the whole are just folks like us. Leveraging the hate of the masses is just a tool for use by a political administration who wants to justify unjust policy.

They aren't rioting because of the 2 dead kids who electrocuted themselves. If you read anything besides the American media, you would know whats going on.
Those 2 kids are just an excuse for the radical muslim leaders. French secret police has identified several radical muslim leaders who are instigating the riots, many of them with direct links to Al Qaida.
Unfortunately France has been too kind, and let a lot of refugees from muslim countries in.

These people come from poor conditions, when they get to France, they get welfare/housing/medical and dental care... AND STILL THEY COMPLAIN HOW BAD EVERYTHING IS. WHY DON'T THEY FKING GO BACK HOME IF IT IS SO MISERABLE!!! STOP BURNING CARS/ BEATING PEOPLE TO DEATH/ DESTROYING PROPERTY!!!

Next election I'm voting for president who accepts 0 refugees!!! I hate this kind of sht!

Most news sources I have seen seem to indicate that the perpetrators of the rioting are mostly 1st generation French-born citizens not recent immigrants.

The media has taught them to hate France, so like the sheep they are, they obey.

Perhaps it represents socialism? If that's the case, the enemy isn't France, but here at home. People pushing for universal drug care and people that want to keep throwing money at social security. The enemy is entitlement, and a lack of personal responsibility.

Irocinally, what you just described represents all that is wrong with France, too.

...And I thought it had something to do with the fact the dark skinned non-christian French citizens that were born to immigrants had unemployment rates at double and triple the general white christian population of France. As much as I have read about Europe's social problems lately, this doesn't surprise me with the racism and xenophobia that always seems to be behind the utopian facade.

One of my friends is a native-French political scientist in Paris and he's telling me that the problem is multifaceted

1) No jobs in these ghettos because regulation is out of control and NOBODY in the private sector wants to invest there
2) Radical muslim clerics are organizing this whole thing- many with al queda ties.

It's basically a european west bank

He laughed uncontrollably when I asked him what he thought of Chirac asking for the LAPD

Yes, it is -- that's why I said "perhaps it [France] represents socialism?". However, what goes on in France doesn't affect us nearly as much as domestic policy does.

I wouldn't move to France either if I know I am not welcome there either. But as bad as things are for the immigrants, you know they wouldn't go back to their Africian countries, because France still provide better opportunity and have welfare. If French were really racist, they would have deported these dark skinned people a loong time ago.

And this riot wont' do those immigrants any good in their media image. It'll only confirm the French about how violent the Africans/Arabs are.

Dave has been preaching a people's revolution for some time now.

There was a story earlier this year or last year about some white French kids marching and protesting in favor of these African Muslim immigrants and then having said African Muslim immigrants beat the crap out of them. Kinda funny.

But, this has been brewing for a while.

So racism is ok because they're not racist enough to outright deport people or racist enough to cause people (who don't have a lot of money since they live in ghettos and slums) to leave. Way to go! You aren't that bad! You aren't the worst worst most bigoted people in the world. Congratulate yourself.

I'm not trying to say that the people rioting are right. I'm saying that this isn't something that came up overnight. It's a systematic problem that France has chosen not to confront that is coming back and won't go away easily.

no. france has given these immigrants a new opportunity with a welfare state where they are given housing, food, education, etc... These immigrants need to recognize that it is a privilege to be given these , as well as to be allowed freely into the borders, NOT to riot because they havn't achieved a respectable socioeconomic status on their own. I believe everyone is entitled to whatever they themselves earn, not what society can provide for them.

France is getting overrun by muslims -> France has WMDs -> USA will attack France... hmm, it sure isn't looking good for the French.

Most of the rioters are not immigrants. They are born in France.

That example doesn't count. Los Angeles is France Jr.

You should read something other than far-right European media! Wow...

what do they expect. they are too tolerant of bad aspects of immigrant cultures. all the multicultural nonsense. so the immigrants grow up with their backwards views that are unacceptable to society and of course they feel shunned
