Ok, who else here thinks Chris Rock is NOT funny?

I hate to say this, mostly because I almost get lynched when I say this, but I do not find Chris Rock funny most of the time. His comedy is good, but it's his damn voice, and he's so annoying. There's just something about him I don't like, and I guess this ties into his not being funny to me.

Head of State looks completely ignorant, the one movie where he was the white old guy doing the comedy thing was also stupid, and there was another that I didn't find interesting at all.

The only thing I like about Chris Rock was his role in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.

"Another white boy in this movie? Damn!"
"Crazy crackers with guns. Its time I get my black ass out of here!"

chris rock aint funnay...hes frickin hilarious


of course, hes second to Dave Chapelle :D

Chapelle owns him, but Rock is funny to me anyway.

Head of State has a lot of race based jokes like any movie with Rock in it, but it was surprisingly funny

I think he's better at stand up -- in fact he's brilliant at it. But he's not so strong when he plays a role or acts.

I like the blunt social undertones often found in his comedy as well as his observations of men and women.

Not everything he does is funny, but overall I find him to be quite hilarious.

You're right about 'Head of State' and previous Chris Rock comedy movies, they suck. Of course this is true for almost any comedians move to film and a movie that basically has no plot.

I partly agree, Rock sucks ass in movies (Down to Earth, anyone?) but thats also where chapelle shines. His role in Blue Streak, Half-Baked, etc were awesome (or so I hear about half-baked, still havent seen it yet)

i LOVE chris rock... I waited in 5 hours worth of lines (6AM-8AM and 1:30PM-4:30PM) just to see him on the Tonigh Show. The guy is hilarious!
