Im about to buy a new AMD system and have waited a couple of weeks to see what would come out in the way of motherboards. Im in Australia by the way.
I can get an Epox 8K7A for $277AUD, an Epox 8K7A+ for $297AUD, a Soltek SL-75DRV for $282AUD, or an MSI K7T266Pro for $321AUD. The Asus A7M is up around the $400 mark, so its already out of the running.
RAID isn't really necessary, but who know what ill be doing in 6 months time.
It will be used with a 1.2Ghz CPU and a Prophet 4500. The system will have 256mb DDR Ram.
What should I get?
The main difference is the chipsets, AMD761 and VIA KT266.
