OK, which Bling Bling crackhead started the trend of 22" chrome wheels that still spin when the vehicle stops?

OK, what "brilliant" person came up with this idea??? I know that you've seen this bling bling chromy jobbies with these massive domes that keep spinning when the car/suv/pickup stops.

Must cost a fortune for those things.

Those things freak me out.

A set of 4 costs between $2000-6000 depending on bling blinginess and holla factor.

I think it was Snoop. Or some company that he is involved with.

edit: bigsmooth might be right, I remember that cribs, but I don't remember sprewell actually saying they came up with the idea first

It wasn't a rapper, it was Latrell Sprewell on "Cribs" IIRC. Some people actually call them "Sprewells".

they do cost a fortune, and I think maybe it was the cash money guys that started it. First time I saw 'em was on MTV cribs.

Most of them are fakes that bolt on top of other wheels; much cheaper.

All you really need are the properly sized attachments with ball bearings inside them.

Oh yeah, it was me. All me, I did it, every last bit. So I like shiny things that spin, sue me.

actually i have seen the original ones..they were done by soem basketballers company...

those are the expensive ones..they have ball rearings and are attached at the outter part of the rim not the middle. so the spin with the tires motion i think they went for liek 10k

i have seen stupid knockoffs look cheap and are attached to the middle to spin...i saw one of these on the freeway ..wasnt spininnig and looked liek it was about to fall off it was flapping so bad

If I had an Escalade or a similar bling bling vehicle, you bet your ass I'd put spinners on it :D

Yeah, that was the first place I saw them. They really weirded me out the first time I pulled up next to a set at a stoplight - I thought I had missed the light turning green.

Heh, I saw a set from far away (and I could only see the back half of the car) and I thought "WTF is that idiot doing smoking his tires at the light like that? and, btw, why is there no smoke?"

Are you black NSF4?, if so I'm going to have to ask for your black man card right this instant as you don't deserve to be black!

Hat3r!

I think a rapper's inches is directly proportional to the number of bastard children they've had with various two dollar skanks.
