Ok

I was trying to update my asus geforce to detonator 6.34.

I was suppose to set my comp to standard PCI adapter (VGA) to prepare my comp for the new drivers

but instead I choose standard PCI adapter

now my comp won't dispaly anything when booting up!!!!!

i tried the removing battery thing...didn't work...

the power light on my monitor is always in power saving mode......not regular operation mode...that means that my monitor isn;t getting any input from the video card...i think

what should I do?

1) try hitting the reset button 5 times in a row and/or turning the power off to try and reset cmos
2) reseat video card, ram, cpu, vga cable
3) clear cmos (by jumper usually)

no to sound stupid but have you taken the new card out and put in the old card, or just try reseating the card itself?, still doesn't make sense though-by just altering a driver the only time you "shouldnt" be able to get video is in windows, not in the boot sequence--is there something else that happened that your leaving out or is that everything? are you getting any error codes in the boot sequence?

did you try re setting the monitor connection? if possible trying another monitor? something just doesnt sound right with your scenerio

Did you try reseating the vid card like john said? make sure it pops in all the way.
