Was watching the Yanks vs Red Sox and in between innings flipped past MTV. Saw some moron called M&M who was yelling at me and grabbing his crotch like Madonna or Michael Jackson and said he wanted to destroy me. Really quite un-musical

Eminem is _ONLY_ popular because he makes fun of people. I find it extreemly lame, and although I dislike Agularia's(sp?) music, I find the parody song EXTREEMLY funny (dispite its not done by her ). If I ever saw Eminem on the street I would show he what real life was like and fcking punch his in the face.

Unfortunatly, these days people without worth or intelligence could go to the top and stay there. This is the trendy/popular generation. People dont have to be good to go to the top, just have MTV promote them, making them popular, then once people see they are popular they immediatly jump on the bandwagon. Remember, now MTV plays VERY LITTLE music, and what they do they choose (TRL) - so what they play is what is popular.


However, one pop boy band I have respect for is Hanson. I cant stand there music, but you know what? They will be around for a long while. Why? Because they acctually write their music. They acctually have genuine talent - unlike most bands these days. While I dont like them, I respect them.


(edit: I agree with that soybomb. The Beastie Boys are great. I dont like rap very much but I like the Beastie Boys alot, because its goofy rap, with humorous/nonsense lyrics, which are really cool. And I dont have to hear fck and every other curse every other sentence)

Soybomb: I highly doubt that. Emminem is a very talented free-styler. While his mainstream stuff is less than exceptional, his older underground stuff is very good.

But frankly none of this matters to people that hate hip-hop. I hear so many of you generalize the genre by what you hear on the radio. Oh well... *shrugs*
