I just sent my 22nd completed WU to Berkley and when my units completed number changed it said 14 completed instead of 22. Well can someone explain this mess?:|
I just checked the stats on Berkley and they are still sitting at 21. Hmm something is up with the stats. :disgust:

It still sets at 21 but I completed 22. And my PC info says I am at 14. Is it possible I am doing a dup Wu that threw me back to the 14th unit I completed?:disgust:

I just checked your stats and it has been 6 hours since they have updated your account. So it may just be lagging but there is something you should check just to be sure.

Open your user_info.sah file and make sure you see your name located in the middle of the text string.

There have been some problems with incorrect user IDs being handed out by OKs proxy and of course if you used Is0s Service Install he gets the credit unless you change the user info.

Are you using SetiDriver? Do you have a SETI folder? Look in the SETI folder. Better yet, do a SEARCH for user_info.sah and locate it that way.

The following 1,615 Results are Queued to be sent to the Seti@Home server OKs got a lot of WUs his Q has not been able to send in to Berkeley...that probably explains your situation.

It is still a good idea to find that user_info.sah file and verify your ID. ;)

OK's proxy has over 1,600 results ready to be sent to Berkeley. Is this it? ;)

:disgust:This has happen 4 times to me since the middle of september. I've not had any
luck resolving the question to the problem. It appears that when the wu is being uploaded
to the server, the server itself missplaces the count to apprx 10 lower than it is suppose
to be. then when the next wu is uploaded it is back to the normal count minus 1 work unit.
I've lost those 4 work units due to this. I believe it is a problem at berkley and their
server at this time.

Thanks Merlin that makes sense and I think know why it is happening too. I have been switching between downloading myself in the a.m. to going proxy through orange kid at night. I dont want to overload him to much with the badwidth {no mispelling there} problems at Berkley. I guess I should stay one way or the other.

Smokeball I see that figure when I pull up the setti screen and look at data units completed that is on the current running WU.

Are you using the GUI Client?

I'm guessing you are because I'm completely confused by, "Smokeball I see that figure when I pull up the setti screen and look at data units completed that is on the current running WU. "

I haven't run the GUI Client in over 40 years so I have complelely forgotten how it even works. Ha LOL ;)

/actually I can remember things from 40 years ago better than I can things from last week. :D :p

No I am running CLI but I am talking about the info on the right side of the seti@home client screen. It gives you your ID units completed and total computer time.
And just how old are you smokeball?

Sounds to me like your describing the GUI (screensaver) version & not the CLi
Or is it the SETIDriver stats you are looking at?

Well, when I was young, we used to use punch cards for Seti. Stacks and stacks of them. It took 20,000 punch cards and 6 months for one WU.

And we liked it! ;)
