Spiders themselves don't bother me, but spider webs do. I'm getting shivers all over just looking at that. Imagine running into such a spider web. The icky sticky feeling OMG. The good thing is, there's enough spiders in it to see that it's there, and GTFO of wherever that place is.

I ran into a huge round cobweb once when I was a kid. I still get shivers thinking about it. I don't know why they bother me so much. When I go in my basement and it's been a while since I've last went I have to wave a broom around to make sure I don't run into any.

Cocked my head to the right and saw this huge orb spider (my recollection is that it was 6 feet across) crawling across my shoulder.

All I remember is ripping off my undershirt, flailing around like an idiot, and screaming like an 8-year old girl. And even remembering that much is more than I care for.

One other solution is to use a crop duster plane to spread aluminium and rust dust on those webs. Then from a safe distance set off some magnesium strips. Perhaps from a helicopter then just drop it on it while burning. Sparklers might work too.

A nuke is safer though. You also want to circle that entire area with nukes before you set the center one off. This will ensure none can somehow get blown away and survive.
