Ok, I do not want to upset you guys, but think about this.
Team Anandtech has team-members all over the world. Most team-members don't know each-other.
If someone want to get into RC5, he'd be more easily persuaded if he/she knew some guys with whom he can create their own little competition in a little proxy. That way it is easier to keep a focus on your fellow competitors, and you'll see that this will increase everybody's rate. If you only see 50 users below you and 50 users above you, all with a total difference of 100 blocks, some people don't see the need for assimilating anymore, which is the main problem for AT's staying behind in the flush-rate lately. Lets face it, at the top there are only system-administators of universities, and there is no way you can beat them in the dailies BY YOUR OWN, but with a team you could just get that extra to beat those guys.
I leave things further to you guys now, but I couldn't find many arguments in this thread why joining a subteam is not that bad.
(By the way, I'm still running on my own, making about 1500 blocks a day.)
