Ken_g6,

Do you find his intrusion in this thread acceptable? Sorry, but I don't, and I'll not bend over and take it.

I don't mean to be rude but please THINK before you post ok?

Just try to at least keep it civil and ON TOPIC?!?

There's a reason why we have an "Off Topic" forum and that's for people to post what's been posted in these last posts...

I think the topic of this thread started out as something to do with the TEAM???

Correct me if I'm wrong and I'll change the subject and delete all my posts!

Ok one question..... Why are we acting like children? I just don't understand it. WE are a TEAM. Togetherness. If that is lost. We don't have a team. And this is sad. Because I used to like to come here. But now I question myself. Why put up with all the bickering when I don't have too. I will just sit back and crack for the team and let you kids bicker this out. I just thought I would throw in my 2¢.

office boy,

Not sure what your reference to Hot Deals is because I spend no time in that forum. I also spend time in many other forums besides Off Topic. Have, since long before you ever arrived at AnandTech.

But, you know what? I really couldn't care less about your feelings one way or the other. You are, and always have been, a mouthy little twerp who criticizes everything about these forums. Your opinion is meaningless.

So, rant, rave, scream, piss your pants for all I care. I'm not going anywhere, and I'll also not be responding again to anything you post.

EDIT: And you don't even have the balls to leave your original post up.

<< YOU are not TA, the BORG are NOT TA >>

But the blocks that come from the "BORG" count just the same as anyone elses....

I'm still not sure why people are so upset....All the mini-teams do is want to have a little fun and contribute to TA...Russ may be a litte *cough* rude *cough* but he is a fierce competitor, Sorta like my boss.....

Lighten up all....We're gonna lose many more if this keeps up...

Why not go have a root-beer (I don't drink:)) and watch some TV (NO PORN:|)...You'll all feel better tomorrow...Then, maybe, we can forget this crap and get back to the real business of passing the /. and then holding off the DPC (who will pass us by Christmas if we are not careful! Think about that!)...Not too long ago, the MAC's and /. seemed unstopable....Not the DPC are in that position...except they are hunting us....We seem to be only hunting ourselves!

Wow, frenzy is "A -P R O U D- DPC member".

<< just join the winning team like we do! >>

hmmmm, the last time i checked, TA was WAY ahead of DPC!!!!

BTW, i don't mind having MINIteams at all, as long as we all realize we are still on the same darn BIG team!!! Besides, miniteams help people assimilate :D. Hey, lets just all take it easy, and don't let miniteams get out of hand. It shouldn't be too hard to do. I am not blaming anyone either, lets just go from here.

Okay I know I promised not to post anymore, but I just wanted to emphasize the posting of Engineer:

>>Lighten up all....We're gonna lose many more if this keeps up...

Think of that, please. for all sakes!

Now Frenzy shows some real class here! THANKS MAN!

I think Engineer hit the nail right on the head... we need to focus more on TA!

OK I'll take an example... for the guys that are in the IRC channel this will sound familiar... silic0n (or me for that matter) is not our greatest cracker, but he'll go out on a limb to help his fellow TA'er!

People That's the spirit we NEED!

Let the MiniTeams have their fun and if you can't compete with them find someone else to compete with... find a project to keep busy with, and when you hit the wall and can't find a way out come here and we'll all try to solve your problems!

That's what this team is about isn't it? A group of people doing something together and when they have problems with stuff they ask the others here for advice and get that and all kinda support... I might be wrong but that's how it was when I came here and that's just a couple of months ago!

Office Boy - Since this is an RC-5 discussion, and you're mainly a SETI person, it would be good to keep any negative comments out of the thread. I tend to use private messages or emails for that, no need to be public with it.

I also noted that Russ asked the DPC member to post in other threads but to leave this one for TA to discuss in. I don't think that it was an unreasonable request. The DPC member correctly stated that Russ can't make him leave but that Russ is an "Elite" member and his wishes should be respected.

Everyone - I don't think that these "reflective" discussion threads do us much good. Private messages and email work pretty well. I would suggest just posting "good luck" or ignoring the "I'm Leaving" threads. If a team member wants to leave, then it is their choice and their business. Publically debating or speculating about the reasons for people leaving seems to cause more problems than it solves as there are a fair number of opinions.

I personally couldn't care less about the mini-teams. I haven't joined one and don't plan on it. I personally don't care where I am in the standings as long as TA gets my blocks. I'm racing in SETI for fun and to push as many WU's out of all the racers as possible, but I honestly think that the increased output is what is good, not the winning or losing (I intend on winning this time, btw).

You know what, i feel like you all are a big, depressed lump of TA guys. I think we need to refresh the mood here!!! Come on, we have a duty. And you all know too well what that duty is!!!

Now look, search yourselves for that once plentiful, although still misguilded inspiration we all had!! :D

thanks, members of TEAM ANANTECH.

And thanks, DPC, for being just the opponents we need to inspire us to SMASH you :D And i mean that in no way like i am angry about you guys posting here. As long as everyone stays civil when interteam conversation starts, we will be ok.

Russ I took that down for the team. It was inappropriate. I didn't want anything to shed a bad light on things (like it could get any worse). Much like your posting in this thread.

Please grow up.
And honor your promise to not reply to anything I?ve said. I grow sick of your attitude.

I think it would be better not to have forums about RC5. The DPC do have a forum just like you guys here, but it seems only few DPC members even know it exists. Most of the communication around DPC takes place by reacting to the daily statspost on tweakers.net, which might prevent a lot of issues like these...

I am sure you guys will be perfectly fine... Have a good night of sleep... then wake up and think of AT instead of miniteams...

PS> Just a little notice : "hmmmm, the last time i checked, TA was WAY ahead of DPC!!!!" ---> The winning team is the team which finds the correct key. At this rate the DPC have the highest chance of finding the right key :)

Ok, I do not want to upset you guys, but think about this.
Team Anandtech has team-members all over the world. Most team-members don't know each-other.
If someone want to get into RC5, he'd be more easily persuaded if he/she knew some guys with whom he can create their own little competition in a little proxy. That way it is easier to keep a focus on your fellow competitors, and you'll see that this will increase everybody's rate. If you only see 50 users below you and 50 users above you, all with a total difference of 100 blocks, some people don't see the need for assimilating anymore, which is the main problem for AT's staying behind in the flush-rate lately. Lets face it, at the top there are only system-administators of universities, and there is no way you can beat them in the dailies BY YOUR OWN, but with a team you could just get that extra to beat those guys.

I leave things further to you guys now, but I couldn't find many arguments in this thread why joining a subteam is not that bad.

(By the way, I'm still running on my own, making about 1500 blocks a day.)
