Ok, this is cool

My concern is that promo spots don't show the flaws. Impossible to control, motors that make a diesel sound quiet, 10 minute battery life... Hopefully it works great. It definitely looks fun in the video.

Nice find. I was about to buy a couple for my nephews birthday.

Did you notice how much they cost?

$40, you have to get it filled at a flower shop though, no helium included...

The set up is pretty labor intensive, claimed 40' range, IR remote control, indoor use only.

It's a pretty finicky toy, but what the hell, looks like fun...

can you just ask the shop to fill up the toy or do you have to buy a cylinder?

IR is a weird way to go, even those little mini rc cars use radio

holy shit that looks great!

i love the part where the cat was messing with the fish. turns around and there is the shark..

lol

i want pics when you get it@!

LOL. William Gibson's last novel involved those things, painted black and with cameras attached to the underside, in its climax. I'll have to reread that passage and imagine them painted. That guy is always ahead of the curve.

It looks like their social media marketing has succeeded:

Meanwhile, we recommend purchasing Air Swimmers at M&M Toy Store:

They're sold out of the shark one at that other toy store.

it's propelled and steered by the tail fin and pitch is done by shifting the balance of the control pod. some mods i'd consider would be a 2.4 GHz radio, improving the power/weight of the AAA battery and tail motor/assembly and maybe a payload.

But the real bitch is getting the helium. You either have to buy a canister and some helium, or go to a party store to have it filled.
