Ok, I bought a new wireless setup(BEFW11S4, WPC11, and WDT11) but i cannot afford to get another netcard and adapter. So i was wondering if its possible to have a win2k box with a wireless card and an ethernet card in the same machine to share internet access? I have the win2k box right now getting internet access from the wireless router just fine. I was wondering if i can put a crossover cable from it to my other machine in the basment and be able to access the internet?
Thanks for any thoughts, Ive been reading and reading to no avail yet.

Ok here is why i am asking:
I have line quality issues from the garage to the house, I want to put my server in the garage and then have the wireless AP point to another computer in the office facing the garage. Problem is that i have my personall computer in the basement and wireless would be bad and expensive for 2 pc cards. So what options do i have to set this up?

It sounds doable if you use some sort of software NAT, such as ICS or Sygate. Not sure, but you may have to do some routing configuration to get past what amounts to a "double" NAT setup.

I will go check out ICS or Sygate. There is a tab in win2k local area connection properties for "Enable Internet Connection Sharing for this computer", would that have anything to do with my solution?

Right now i have my linux server running NAT and the computer with the pc-card running win2k is fine, I jsut wanted to know how to get the NIC in it to feed internet access for 1 other computer. This is kinda weird and im sorry for being incomplete with my description.
Cant find out unless you ask. :)
Thanks so much Russ!

there are companies out there that make a multi port switch that you can put right into your computer. check ebay, i bought mine for 30 bucks shipped. most have 4 ports and then all you need is some routing software for that computer and you be ready to go. (sorry, can't remember the name of the software off the top of my head, someone here knows though)

What you need to do is, put 1 NIC in the server.... Run a cable from the server to a switch. Plug the other computers into the switch, then plug the Wireless AP into the switch. They should both be able to use ICS from the Win 2k server. Think of the Wireless AP as a layer 2 device.... The only thing it does is turn the CAT 5 signal to a Wireless Signal..... You can use the Wireless with ICS as well as the NICs then :)
