I have a crappy connection in my house (lots of dropped calls) and no service at my office. When I am out and about, service sucks compared to Verizon or AT&T. Is there anyway to get out of the contract for their failure to provide me with advertised service?

How long have you had it? You know, this month they're upping the fees on text messages which means, from what I heard, you're able to get out of your contract with no fee.

I just moved from t-mobile to at&t, had half a year left on the contract.....the price for txt messages is going up, gave me the perfect excuse to get out without paying ETF.

Just missed the deadline by 7 days... you had untill the 27th to cancel w/o penalty. They recently changed the SMS rates, which constitutes a material breach of the contract.

On the other hand I also believe you have a right to decent service. But unless you can prove it to them they wont let you out, especially if their little coverage map shows coverage

WOW - that was easy and one of the most pleasant CSR experiences I have ever had. I have scheduled a no-ETF cancellation for 1 week from today so I have time to get my new carrier to iniate a phone number port request.

AT&T here I come
