a lot has happen in last two past seasons. the ship is special because it now has sub light engines and a hyperdrive and the borg are a new species of fighters created by Anubis.

Edit: i anubis was almost destroyed last season by the ancient outpost on earth with the help of Colonel O'neil now a General.

No the NID helped a Goaul'd but he back stab them in the end.

it's the first of its kind. i'm sure they would be thinking of building more but that takes time and resources.
