Ok, so which Conroe mobos allow for multiplier adjustments on normal retail chips?

Ive seen people talk about mult adjustments, but they never mention which mobos they were using. :(

You can only go downwards (to 6), and I think I've only seen them on P965 boards. I know the Asus P5B-Deluxe and the Gigabyte DS3 do for sure.

Well this makes me go "hmmm". And here I was itchn for a 6600. Oh well.

As far as I know the only chip which allows upwards multi's is the X6800, no matter what board you have.

Obviously.

But all the chips are capable of running @ lowered multis.

And yes, i believe it's only on 965 mobos.

I know right now people still sorta consider 975 the high end, but i disagree.

As things mature, & even already now, we are seeing 965 as the superior platform, especially for OCing, & budget OCing.
