OK. So I was at a friends wedding, and I had two glasses of champagne...

So basically, someone told one of our ministers they saw me walking around pouring other people's unfinished glasses into mine to get more champagne...which is 100% pure BS. I did ask our server for one additional glass...and thats IT!!! So now I'm in deep ******, and my best friend (said ministers son) can't hang out with me, because his dad is afraid I'm gonna slip him some alcohol. Aparantley someone saw me drink a beer in canada too...but my father gave me that, so I don't really see the problem.

Leaving my church is not an option, our beliefs are very unique, and I doubt I'd be able to find another organization that believes the same as we do with as much zeal--thats part of what I think makes people a bit to critical at times...

IDK, I'm just completley pissed that people were spreading rumors.

Just for Clarification... No one has a problem with drinking, the problem is that I'm underage...

:::EDIT:::
I think its gonna end up somewhere inbetween. More comes to the story as more people talk. Some one heard me make a joke to one of the groomsmen about getting me a beer (it was obvious I was not being serious), this was taken out of context, and by the time it got back to our minister, he was told that the best man was buying me drinks the whole night.

Basically, no one would've had a problem if it was just me sitting around having a couple glasses of champagne (at least thats what I can gather), but because people believed that I was walking around and emptying others unfinished glasses (which is pretty disgusting if you ask me), is the problem. The fact that someone started the rumor that I was getting drinks from the bestman also scrweed everything up.

Another friend of mine had the same to drink (two glasses of champagne, and one of wine), and no one said anything, because no one started any rumors. I have a feeling that this all stems back to a certain girl having a problem with me, and when she heard this blew it up into something it wasn't and that started the rumor. I have since straightened out any bad-blood between the two of us, but that doesn't help what may have happened then./EDIT

Lol I don't know where to start... actually I do. If you care what your minister/reverand/deacon/pastor/whatever thinks, then I'm sorry.

Wow... I had some champagne at a wedding and no one said anything to me. Maybe that was because everyone was pretty trashed by that time...

Whenever you define your own belief system as "zealous" you should start to question that system. :p

Those people sound remarkably immature. As for the zeal comment, what good does that do if no one trusts you now?

Assuming this is a Christian denomination, ask them to show you in their Bible where it says that there is anything wrong with drinking alcohol. I'm sure even Jesus drank, probably before he was 21. The worst they can say you did is that you broke the law. Look up the law in your state, in many states it is legal to drink in your parents' presence even if you're under 21.

Then tell them to stop being so judgemental (Matthew 7:1 <-- that's a handy verse for non-Christians to pull out when they're subjected to proselytizing). But don't say it in a judgemental way. ;)

Problem was, I went with my bro, and my dad wasn't there (though my bro probly counts as a legal quardian cause he's 31)
